It’s not all about calories, but calories do count.

I have never said you can eat non-stop and lose weight. If anyone thinks that, then they have not been listening to me carefully enough. If you overeat, even butter, or fat bombs, you probably will not lose weight.

What I’ve said is “high insulin” forces some of your calories into fat storage and this leaves you still hungry and tired. Because of this double whammy of constant hunger and fatigue, you will eat more to make up for the energy loss and cause this insulin spike situation to last longer, preventing your body from burning fat longer.

Listen, a calorie is determined by literally burning the food to measure heat, that’s why I’ve said a calorie is not a calorie in your body. But, believe me, I may be an old redneck from Tennessee, but I’m not foolish enough to think anyone can constantly overeat anything, including butter, and lose weight.

The whole purpose of this diet is the complete appetite control it gives you, so you can eat less while still giving your body MORE nutrition.

When you stop your body from storing your food as fat, then that food can be used for energy and health. When you stop eating junk food and you start eating highly nutritious whole real food, then you are giving your body what it needs to live. Your body will reward you with appetite control, because hunger itself is a sign of not getting enough nutrition.

Most diets cause you to use “will power” to eat less, but this doesn’t work for long for most people. The LCHF (low carb/high fat) diet turns off the “out of control hunger urges” that you’ve struggled with all your life and gives you control, gives you freedom without using “will power”. This will enable to do what is called “intermittent fasting”.

Intermittent Fasting or Short-term fasting.

You need to learn about this wonderful and easy process of not eating and all the many things it can do to help you lose weight and reverse many of the health issues a high insulin level causes.

I’ve written a critical review of some of the parts, but I still think “Eat, Stop, Eat” is the best fasting book you can find at this time.
