2 Reasons A Tape Measure is Better Than A Scale
Start Measuring with a Tape and Stop Weighing with a Scale
1. The Tape Measures Fat Loss.
When you use a soft tape to measure your waist, week by week you can actually tell if you’re losing Belly FAT – but the Scale doesn’t tell you anything about whether or not you’re losing fat.
2. Waist-to-Height Ratio.
When we look at a person, and say that person is proportioned well, what are we saying about that person? Are we talking about their weight? Or are we talking about their proportions?
Our eyes instantly tell us that the person is not overweight.
We notice waist-to-height ratio without having to take a measuring tape.
The Waist-to-Height Ratio is a simple tape measure method that can be used by both men and women. It is accurate for both the tall and short.
Regardless of sex or height, when the waist is 1/2 of the height or less, the person looks normal weight to our eyes.
The scale does not tell us this, but you can take a tape and measure your height and waist. Divide your waist measurement by your height measurement and if the answer is 0.5 or less then that’s great.
Each week, do this and write down that measurement and you’ll know a lot more about your progress than the scale can tell you.
